My Favourite Season
It is that time of the year again. Where here in Canada we get to experience a wealth of colour. There are even festivals named after it - Celtic Colours - where the entire area of Cape Breton celebrates life with music, dance and best of all the Fall Colours.
Here in Ontario we also experience the ever changing colours of the trees. Depending on the tree and the type of seasons, we have had so far, they can be vibrant or subtle. Either way I love this season.
While walking in the woods you can smell the aroma of the leaves. On a good day it is sunny and cozy, you can hear the silence of the woods as it is blanketed in the leaves that rest on the forest floor. It is on those days that one may be able to wear their favourite fall sweater. Layered below it are a few other tops to make sure that you are warm while walking.
Living in the city one may not be able to get out and about into the woods. The buildings become wind tunnels, or the pathway system may be underground. Thus wearing sweaters and getting out into nature is an occasional activity reserved for the weekends.
At those times, having a few oils handy, can bring in a sense of wearing a warm sweater, feel the sunshine on your face and the aroma of the forest floor can be accomplished. Above is my favourite way to do just that.
